At Christmas, we remember Jesus in his coming. Our sermon series is titled after a song by the same name. The song reminds us Jesus was born to set people free from fears and sins. It reminds us to find rest, strength, and consolation in him. It reminds us that he is our hope, desire, and joy. Our study of Matthew’s gospel will showcase Jesus as the Coming One, the Promised One, the King, and God with us. As the song declares, “Come, Thou long expected Jesus..Rule in all our hearts alone!”
