Often in a mobster movie, we will hear the crime boss say to a person who has betrayed them, “You’re dead to me!” From that point on in the movie, they become persona non grata, which is Latin for “a person who is unacceptable or unwelcome”. Is that what God did to Israel after all her failures and rebellions?
