Hosea is a small book buried in the Old Testament. It is a prophecy which speaks against the unfaithfulness of God’s people. How it speaks against that unfaithfulness is shocking–the Lord directs Hosea to marry a woman who has had MANY lovers. Do you see the connection? The unfaithfulness of God’s people is compared to a woman who has had many lovers. Whoa! Thankfully, her unfaithfulness and our unfaithfulness are not the end of the story. The good news is there is a faithful husband who is the star of the story.
